Christmas Service
Alone on Christmas morning? Got an apartment full of visitors for the holidays? Bundle up and come join us for a special worship service on the subject of “Christian Science.” Our hour long service begins at 10:30 a.m. and will include singing and fabulous organ music appropriate for the occasion. The sermon will include readings from the Four Gospels on the life of Jesus Christ.

Did you see Seventeenth Church’s ad in the Holiday Faith Guide of Chicago Journal and Skyline Thursday, December 15, 2011? It is among 12 worship community announcements inviting Chicagoans to attend special holiday services. The Holiday Faith Guide will appear again next week in Thursday’s 12/15 issues. The Chicago Journal and Skyline are free weekly community newspapers reaching over 44,000 readers in the North, West Loop, and South Loop neighborhoods.
Annual Unifying Theme
As a reminder to members, we are in the process of discerning 2012′s church-wide theme. Please be sure to submit your suggestions by November 30. A master list of ideas will then be circulated by 12/6 for everyone’s final consideration – with the goal of setting our 2012 Theme by 12/16.
